Better Architecture is a residential architectural design studio working across London and Sussex. We design extensions, loft conversions, renovations and new-build homes with a focus on clarity, proportion, light and the way people actually live. Our role is not simply to draw what is asked for. It is to understand the property, question what could work better and find the most considered way forward.

Every home has its own constraints, character and possibilities.
We begin by understanding what is already there — how the property is used, where it falls short and what our clients want to change.
From there, we explore ideas through drawings and 3D design, testing how light, movement, layout and materials can work together.
The aim is not to impose a particular style.
It is to create a home that feels coherent, purposeful and right for its setting.
Better Architecture brings together more than a decade of experience across residential design, planning and construction.
That experience spans everything from compact loft conversions and house extensions to substantial remodelling projects and new-build homes.
It allows us to look at a project from more than one perspective — considering not only how a design should look, but how it can be planned, developed and ultimately built.
Over the years, we have secured hundreds of successful planning applications, with a planning success rate of more than 97%.
